We loved everything about this place and ended up staying 10 days. It’s heaven on earth. Staff are exceptional. Cleanliness is superb. Ayu went out of her way to really make our stay welcome. She is just so kind, professional and helps you understand the culture of Bali. I hope we became friends! We stayed in the new glamping location and then we also booked for the pool villa. Both fantastic. Love everyone including Jeni, Daisy, Ari, Dewi, Adi, and Giri and more. They are such welcoming and kind staff and really make you feel like you are at home. The hotel is located at a very beautiful location, near villages and the view is spectacular. I hope all the views remain this way as you get to see the rice farmers tend to their farm. It’s a sleepy location and perfect for those who wish to experience Bali, its local culture and a simpler life. If partying and clubbing and shopping is your thing then it’s not the place but if you travel to be in Bali to see Bali and its beautiful culture and nature, then look no further. We also had a few massages and Monica is very good and also explains any issues and tensions you may have. Really excellent and relaxing massages.

Wapa di Ume Sidemen is not just a hotel but an absolute fantastic luxurious experience that keeps on giving. Apart from the amazing views of the Sidemen valley, the rice fields and the water stream you are truly treated like a royal family member. The quality of the personnel and the stay, in our case the luxe tent with pool is impeccable. We really enjoyed the personal care and fun we had with the staff who all remembered our names. The restaurant staff were caring and the food was delicious, special thanks to Santa and Indah from the restaurant. Passing by the front desk we were always greeted warmly and were asked if we were all good. They were happy to assist us with whatever we needed such as tours, advice and more. Another highlight is the transfers and car services, you are given water, cold towels and well air conditioned vehicles thank you Hardi for the nice trip. We want to personally thank Ayu for the amazing private cultural experience we had making the Canang sari (offering) and for our lovely conversations and our photo memory letter. We will definitely come back!

Gede, our tour guide and driver, went above and beyond to personalise our trip, his kindness and local knowledge made our time in Sidemen even more special. We recommend both the Gembleng Waterfall Tour and local sightseeing tour with Gede. The cooking class was a highlight, fun, engaging, and led by staff with a great sense of humour. We also had a lovely chat with the hotel manager, Sri, who embodied the same incredible hospitality. On arrival, we were surprised with a complimentary bottle of wine, cake, a happy anniversary message, and a flower bath, and when we left we were given a parting gift, such thoughtful touches that reflect the care this hotel gives to its guests.

This is our absolute favourite place in Bali - the pick us was on time, very comfortable car ride (with the option to catch up on sleep) after a long flight, warm welcome in the resort, beautiful rooms, amazing activities offered by the hotel, fantastic massage, but the the best is simply the personnel - attentive, kind and ready to share their knowledge about Bali and its culture. I highly recommend to go on a tour with one of the guides! On our arrival the reception was very busy and the pool area got busy too, because they welcome more guests than in the years before, but this should be sorted out soon, when the construction will be finished.
